چکیده

The means for providing AGC for the overall receiver are important aspects of the block diagram design for an HF SSB receiver. The receiver is operationally required to have nearly constant audio output as the signal input ranges from the 1-μV region to perhaps 1 V or more and to do so without having loop oscillation or distorting the received signal. A receiver primarily designed to be used by an operator for signal search or monitoring will typically allow an audio output rise of 6 dB or so over the input signal range. A receiver for data signals, on the other hand, can have a very flat output requirement so that the following data detection circuits have a constant-amplitude input.

Source Fingerprinting of Sediment Deposited in the Dam Reservoir: A Case of Lavar Dam Watershed, Fin, Hormozgan Province

Extended abstract 1. Introduction Soil erosion is a major environmental threat worldwide. This three-stage process including detachment, transportation and sedimentation of soil particle by runoff affects natural and agricultural areas of Iran. Soil erosion has many off-site and on-site effects such as sediment deposition in the lake of dam and channels, transportation of nutrients and contam...

Dual-band RFID tag antenna based on the Hilbert-curve fractal for HF and UHF applications

A novel single-radiator card-type tag is proposed which is constructed using a series Hilbert-curve loop and matched stub for high frequency (HF)/ultra high frequency (UHF) dual-band radio frequency identification (RFID) positioning applications. This is achieved by merging the series Hilbert-curve for implementing the HF coil antenna, and square loop structure for implementing the UHF antenna ...

Low ‐ Frequency Waves in HF Heating of the Ionosphere

Ionospheric heating experiments have enabled an e xploration of the ionosphere as a large‐scale natural l aboratory for the study of many plasma processes. These experiments inject high‐frequency (HF) radio waves using high‐power transmitters and an array of ground‐ and space‐based diagnostics. The heating of the plasma has led to many new phenomena such as modulation of the ionospheric current...

High Performance UHF RFID Tags for Item-Level Tracing Systems in Critical Supply Chains

The need of a traceability system implemented at item level is becoming more and more essential in many business processes and, among the different potential enabling technologies, passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) (Finkenzeller, 2003) is undeniably the most adequate candidate. Indeed, its simplicity of use as well as its very attractive cost-benefit ratio, give a strong appeal to R...

Output-Conductance Transition-Free Method for Improving Radio-Frequency Linearity of SOI MOSFET Circuits

In this article, a novel concept is introduced to improve the radio frequency (RF) linearity of partially-depleted (PD) silicon-on-insulator (SOI) MOSFET circuits. The transition due to the non-zero body resistance (RBody) in output conductance of PD SOI devices leads to linearity degradation. A relation for RBody is defined to eliminate the transition and a method to obtain transition-free c...
